Clara Izurieta has a Degree in Economics and Business Studies from the University of the Basque Country, Bilbao, a Diploma in Advanced Studies in Health Systems Analysis Methods from Claude Bernard University in Lyon and a Master’s Degree in Feasibility Studies for Real Estate and Urban Development Projects from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia.

She has 6 years of experience in Basque Public Administration, as the Head of Planning and Financial Management of the Land Use Planning, Housing and Environmental Department of the Basque Government and a Planning Advisor and Social Welfare Manager in the Basque Government’s Department of Justice, Employment and Social Security.

Since she joined IKEI, she has specialised in sectorial and regional strategic planning projects and in the development of forward planning and the assessment of public policies, particularly in relation to housing, employment, education and healthcare.

She is currently a Partner of IKEI.
