Jessica Durán

Senior Consultant

Jessica Durán has a Diploma in Tourism and a Degree in Humanities: Business, majoring in marketing, from the University of Deusto, with a National Award for Excellence in Academic Performance in University Education (Premio Nacional Fin de Carrera de Educación Universitaria). She later qualified as an Expert in International Trade at the University of the Basque Country and obtained a Master’s Degree in Marketing at the National University of Distance Education (UNED).

She has experience of working overseas thanks to her job as a Research Assistant in the company Barkers in London in 2006. In that year, the Basque Government also awarded her an Internationalisation Grant for Australia, so she did international trade consultancy work in ICEX’s Office for Economic and Commercial Affairs in Sydney and worked in marketing and sales in a private company in the city of Melbourne, until June 2008.

Since she joined IKEI in 2008, she has worked on international projects, mainly in areas related to employment and working conditions, training, social policies, SMEs and entrepreneurship. The biggest clients she has worked for include institutions such as the ILO (International Labour Organisation), the European Commission and various European agencies (e.g. CEDEFOP – the European Centre for the Development of Vocational Training and Eurofound – the European Foundation for the Improvement of Living and Working Conditions).

She is currently a Senior Consultant in IKEI.
