Joanes Alkorta has got a Law Degree from the University of the Basque Country as well as an MBA from the University of Deusto. He is also a Family Business consultant approved by the Agency of Entrepreneurship of Bizkaia (DEMA) and a practitioner of Collaborative Law issued by the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals (IACP).

He has got an extensive experience of more than twenty years as a lawyer specialised in Commercial Law and Family Business Succession practices, where he has participated in a large number of M&A operations and creditor agreements, as well as in the implementation of business succession protocols in a significant number of private companies.

He is currently Vicepresident of the Board of Directors of the Association of Collaborative Law of Euskadi, and he has taken part as speaker in different specialised fora, particularly before the Basque Parliament's Labour and Justice Commission.

He is currently a Partner Director of IKEI Legal & Tax.
