Manu Olariaga

Manu Olariaga is an Industrial Engineer by the ETSII of the University of Navarra, having completed the Management Development Program of Mondragón Cooperative Corporation. He is currently developing a PhD thesis on “Science, Technology and Innovation Systems and Technology Transfer to companies", in the Faculty of Economic and Business Sciences of the University of the Basque Country, particularly aimed at analysing and researching the transfer of technology from knowledge centres to companies.

He has an extensive professional and managerial experience: Director of Quality in Technical Applications of Rubber S.A. and Federal Mogul Corporation; Commercial and Industrial Director at Guría S.Coop; General Director at Biurrarena S.Coop, Comelectric Group and S.Izaguirre S.A; Managing Partner at OPE Consultores; Director of the Innovation Strategies Division at Tecnalia R & I; Advisor at Tecnalia Ventures.

He has worked as an independent external advisor for several companies. His lines of expertise include the strategic redefinition of business models, strategic marketing or the development of diversification initiatives (both organic and inorganic ones).

He is currently an IKEI Associate.
